Center for Critical and Qualitative Studies (CQS)

Message from the Director

CQS fosters an environment for researchers to adopt an interdisciplinary approach across the fields of social science, humanities, and various applied sciences in the pursuit of knowledge, and in doing so, emphasize the qualitative research methodology. Our objective has been to not only lay the foundations for innovative qualitative research approaches to flourish in Bangladesh but to empower the community both as a co-creator and beneficiary of the knowledge. Ultimately, the goal of research is the betterment of society, and there is no better way to achieve that than to involve communities as active participants in the development of research that would empower them in turn, through the provision of updated knowledge.
