Din M Sumon Rahman
Director, Center for Critical and Qualitative Studies

Professor of Journalism and Media Studies at ULAB and director of the Office of Faculty Research and the Center for Critical and Qualitative Studies (CQS). He is an esteemed media expert and a pioneer in the field of information literacy.
Dr. Rahman’s academic background is in Philosophy, Development Studies, and South Asian Studies, with a PhD in Cultural Studies from the University of Queensland, Australia. As a writer, he has published on popular culture, cultural studies, as well as works of literature.

 

Sazia Sharmin
Research Associate

Educated at the University of Toronto and University of Dhaka, Sazia is experienced in writing, editing, translation and research for media, development organizations and social science research projects.

 

 

Mohammad Romel
Program Associate

Mohammad Romel is the Program Associate at Center for Critical and Qualitative Studies (CQS). His area of specialization comprises field co-ordination, research projects documentation and media content creation

 

 

Md. Sams Wahid Shahat
Research Assistant

Md Sams Wahid Shahat is a Research Assistant at Center For Critical And Qualitative Studies (CQS). He holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh in Media Studies and Journalism. His area of interest includes Social Science Research, Communication and Media & Information Literacy.

 

 

Apon Das
Research Assistant

Apon Das is a Research Assistant at Center For Critical And Qualitative Studies. He is an alumnus of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). He has interests in Digital Ethnography and Media Information Literacy. Currently, he is working on fact-checking report writing and supporting multiple projects.

 

 

Jessica Eva Salazar
Research Assistant

Jessica Eva Salazar is a Research Assistant at Center For Critical And Qualitative Studies. She has background sociology and communication. She mostly focuses on report writing and lending support to multiple projects.
