On 18 June, 2025 FactWatch, the flagship fact-checking initiative of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), successfully conducted a Community Discussion and Grassroots Fact-Checking Training at Infinity Girls School, Taraboni, Cox’s Bazar.

The event was organized in collaboration with the Cox’s Bazar Federation of Social Work, and brought together over 40 participants, including teachers, students, community leaders, journalists, and social workers.

This event marks another milestone in the ongoing national campaign titled “Resilient Voices: Tackling Misinformation and Disinformation, Fostering Digital Literacy, and Fact-Checking in Bangladesh,” supported by The Asia Foundation.

The initiative aims to strengthen community resilience by equipping rural and underprivileged populations with the tools to identify and challenge digital misinformation.
