In 2023, over the course of the year, the Center for Critical and Qualitative Studies (CQS), in collaboration with Article 19, successfully conducted a series of workshops on fact-checking and media and information literacy. This initiative comprised of a total of nine workshops, conducted in different districts of Bangladesh such as Jamalpur, Kushtia, Kurigram, Shariatpur, Bogura and others. The workshops were primarily attended by female madrasa students; but, there were participants from ethnic and religious communities, local journalists and teachers of the Madrasa curriculum. Shuvashish Das Ray Dip, a fact-checker and researcher at CQS, conducted seven of these workshops, while Suborno Rekha Dolon (fact-checker) and Arafat Hossain (fact-checker), conducted the remaining workshops.

Earlier this year, CQS, in partnership with Article19, developed an online course on media and information literacy which was tailored for Madrasa students.
